Celebrating Sophie’s birthday with live music and spoken word.
Every year, around Sophie’s birthday, we celebrate by hosting a festival featuring a number of amazing bands. For 2023, we have decided to host the festival online so wherever you’re based in the world – you can get involved!
And that’s where you come in! If you would like to perform, be it solo, in a band, or reading poetry, have a look at our website to see how you can #makeanoise for Sophie.

Whether you’re in a band or have a favourite act who you’d love to see perform this year’s online edition of Make A Noise, please let us know! Feel free to contact bands and point them in our direction – alternatively, let us know via the contact form.
Bands
In a band and want to perform for this year’s Make A Noise? Get in touch using the form below. If you’re chosen, we’ll need a 15-20 minute live performance, recorded in advance for The Sophie Lancaster Foundation to be streamed on Saturday 25th November.
Spoken Word Artists
Are you a spoken word artist? We’d love to feature you on this year’s Make A Noise festival. If you’d like to get involved, fill out the form below. If you’re chosen, we’d love to hear 5-10 minutes of your best work.
Everybody
Everyone can be a part of Make A Noise this year! If you’d like to be featured, please send in a short video of you telling us what the Foundation means to you. Ending the video saying, “Let’s stamp out prejudice, hatred and intolerance and let’s make a noise for Sophie.” And we’ll edit it into a montage to air during the festival.
